Throughout my life, I have always been drawn to videogames of all kinds as a medium for their ability to provide a wide range of experiences, as well as an avenue for players to learn and grow as people.

 

An example of this phenomenon is how games like Minecraft can teach people of any age the basics of electrical engineering at a granular level . For that reason, I look forward to sharing my excitement about games, and playing Minecraft with my wife and our children as they grow up! 

 

I discovered my favorite hobby  — history  — thanks to Paradox Interactive's grand strategy games’ ability to  convey historical events through gameplay. This inspired me to do my own historical research, which continues to offer incredible insight about who we are as people and what brought us to the present day.

 

What I have found to be the most gratifying during my time in the game design industry is that I’ve succeeded thus far in my mission to provide these kinds of experiences to people through the games that I have contributed to, as well as in my solo modification project.

 

One day I hope to offer forms of entertainment that not only engage the consumer, but also encourage gamers to learn more about themselves  as people so they can grow into the best versions of themselves.
